Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, Portland, OR Digital Infrared Canon 40D with SuperColor Infrared Sensor from Life Pixel Sigma 15mm f9.5 1/250 My husband and I arrived at the CSRG and waited for the rain to stop.. and waited.. and waited.. and drove around and came back and waited some more. Finally the rain decided to stop just enough for us to decide it wasn't enough rain to effectively ruin our equipment. I REALLY didn't want to go home without taking a few images! Blooming spring foliage, water, reflections, cloudy skies and sometimes even a little bit of sunshine.. PERFECT for infrared!

    Stonehenge War Memorial, WA

Digital Infrared By Beverly Downen As a photography couple, it is not uncommon for us to take the same images sometimes. We run into this issue quite often! Needless to say, having an Infrared camera around can make the same perspective a totally different and unique experience. Canon 40D (Digital Infrared) 10-22mm Canon Lens

  • Maryhill Overlook

    Maryhill Overlook

Maryhill, WA Digital Infrared By Beverly Downen Taken during our recent session at the Stonehenge War Memorial in WA. Sometimes the most amazing views are not of the monuments themselves. The little town of Maryhill is nestled neatly in this beautiful riverside valley amid several fields that must belong to one of the local wineries. — at Stonehenge Replical War Memorial, Maryhill, Wa.

  • Crater Lake

    Crater Lake

Digital Infrared Crater Lake, Oregon By Beverly Downen We finally made it to Crater Lake after much anticipation. When we arrived the wind was icy and chilled our fingers to the bone, and we decided to pack it up (along with the kids and Grandma), and resign to the fact that we needed to return for another day to try our luck again with mother nature's weather-whims. Needless to say we were amazed by this natural wonder, and I'm still stunned at the sheer size of the lake. It's massive.. and highly recommended! Printed on archival quality paper or Metal Available in several sizes

    Hebb Park, Oregon

Processed Infrared Image By Beverly Downen This was taken with my infrared camera and a 50mm lens. The original unprocessed photo has a blueish tint on the camera, but there's a few extra steps during the post processing to get this kind of effect. Printed on archival quality paper Available in two sizes: 8" x 20" or 12" x 30"

    Reflection Study IV

Digital Infrared By Beverly Downen The blue color in this set of images is what I see on my infrared camera when I take the shot. There are many different methods to choose from when importing these IR photos into a computer, and it all starts here. I loved the look and feel of these images unaltered and straight from the camera, and used a minimal amount of editing to adjust the contrast balance. Sometimes less is more.
